→ 14-mile Northwest Lancaster County River Trail nears finish line – LancasterOnline
I’ve walked most of this route over the years starting from different locations, but having it all connected will definitely take the experience to another level. Most recently we hiked the section that runs from Chiques Creek south past the base of Chickies Rock and then on to the old railroad tunnel mentioned in the article. It was an easy two mile round trip, a great hike for families with young children who may not be able to do a lot of ups and downs. The photo below was taken inside the tunnel looking north towards Marietta.
