→ Dutchland Derby Rollers get down to business: Not far by car | PennLive.com
This caught my eye:
Some of the derby names play on real names; Mel becomes Mell Raiser. Some connect with the skater’s day job; Ida Myzer does taxes. And some come from family; Dunna Vetta’s name came from her grandmother who used a Pennsylvania Dutch expression to swear. “Dunna vetta!” she’d roar. (It means “thunder and lightning!”)
The next two home derbys will be on April 5 and May 3 at the Overlook Activities Center, 1241 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA. General admission at the door is $12.
