Meadow Garden – Longwood Gardens newest and biggest addition

The new 86 acre ‘Meadow Garden’ features three miles of trails, a newly renovated William Webb farmhouse and is dedicated to the native flora of area:

…nearly four times the size of the entire Hershey Gardens. It’s also the biggest single addition to Longwood since it opened as a public garden in the 1950s.

Longwood gardeners planted more than 100,000 wildflowers and 1,100 trees and shrubs just this spring alone. In all, the site has some 150 plant species.

Longwood Gardens is located along Route 1 near Kennett Square. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for those 62 and older, and $8 for students aged 5-18 with a valid student ID.
