The new 86 acre ‘Meadow Garden’ features three miles of trails, a newly renovated William Webb farmhouse and is dedicated to the native flora of area:
…nearly four times the size of the entire Hershey Gardens. It’s also the biggest single addition to Longwood since it opened as a public garden in the 1950s.
Longwood gardeners planted more than 100,000 wildflowers and 1,100 trees and shrubs just this spring alone. In all, the site has some 150 plant species.
* Longwood Gardens is located along Route 1 near Kennett Square. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for those 62 and older, and $8 for students aged 5-18 with a valid student ID.
