York County’s rail trail eagles: ‘This pair of eagles doesn’t seem to be bothered by anything’ | York Blog

I first found out about the bald eagles that nest along the recently opened rail trail northern extension when I saw one the adults swooping around a billboard on Route 30.  The nest is located in between the  Codorus Creek and Eden Road in a small patch of woodland. With the leaves now out it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to see the nest but their is a good chance you might catch one of the adults soaring around the vicinity.

The area around a Bald Eagle Nest is a restricted zone that is protected by federal and state law and certain rules of etiquette should be followed. Click here to find out what they are and remember – you wouldn’t want a Bald Eagel causing trouble in your back yard, so does cause any in theirs!
