… beginning with its construction in 1827 from Mauch Chunk to Easton, through its peak years in 1855 when 1.3 million tons of anthracite coal was transported on the Lehigh and Delaware canals. Richard Pawling, owner of History Alive!, entertained the 90 guests with traditional 19th century music and storytelling.
