Roadside America: A reality play

→ Roadside America: A reality play – Main Line Times

I agree with the writer that even in our technology saturated times an old-school attraction like Roadside America is still a cool place to see for kids and adults alike.

The scale is 3/8 of an inch to one foot, and the detail is extraordinary. All trains are “O” gauge. There are more than 10,000 hand-made trees. Some 4,000 miniature people are engaged in everyday daily pursuits. There are actual rivers, streams and waterways. Interactive animations, which can be activated by visitors, include a circus parade, construction workers, saw mill workers and more.

If this description doesn’t stimulate your curiosity and imagination you need to get out more! But first read the article and learn more about the history of Laurence Gieringer’s vision of a miniature Americana wonderland that remains family owned and operated to this day.
