The first egg was laid on Saturday February 14 according to the article linked above, and another should be coming along anytime now. The incubation period will likely end when the first egg hatches around March 21.

The webcam will be broadcasting until the mating pair depart in early July. The eagles have maintained this nest for 11 years and the female is expecting to lay her eggs in the next couple of weeks.

One of the most interesting moments so far was when one of the eagles – who had been sitting on the eggs for hours as a storm buried it beneath a thick blanket of snow, finally spread it’s wings and cleared the nest. The video below captures that moment.
